Ashkenazi and Yiddish Origins
The more you listen the more fascinating. The title is negative clickbait for a nuanced scientific history. I watch and see lots of exposé videos on Israeli atrocity war, media spin, etc. Obviously there is a moral angle to war and everyone wants to be on the right side of history. Victims fled Europe and obviously like early American settlers who fled religious persecution in Europe, had to defend themselves against natives. America became powerful, an empire even and has committed atrocity after atrocity, become corrupt, even evil. We can all see this in growing up. Children are naive, become rebellious teens, take on power slowly, exploit younger generations from a position of power. Israel and the returning Jews are abandoning a position of outcast and Victimhood for that of a normal statehood. All nations have a raison d'etre. They fight wars of survival. Tribal survival is primal and justifies everything. Morality becomes secondary. America killed millions in post WWII wars against communism, arab dictators, etc. Many were unjustified. The CIA toppled endless governments. A liberal attitude, a moral righteousness, ends up someday also in power justifying mass murder. This happened to us Americans and now to Israel. This is the logic of power. In karmic terms one goes through various life cycles or rebirths to experience various phases. In one life a mother, in another a businessman, carpenter perhaps and then a soldier, politician, lawyer, even a spy, a criminal. Moral grey areas open up before our eyes. In primitive times one quarter of men died each generation in war, unwanted babies were smothered by mothers. Religion and civilization made moral codes but essentially these are ignored by powerful greatly and by normal people to a great extent. What goes unnoticed goes unpunished. If I condemn Israel then I must condemn my British colonial ancestors, my American ones and even my marauding Celtics who gathered skulls on their belts to show manhood in battle. War is hell and peace is a fraud built on brutal threats of violence and spy games, economic dominance. We might ask in such times " why does God allow evil?" Perhaps just being a nice polite little creature does not let us experience the full range of human experience and suffering. Perhaps we should read the Bhagavad gita to understand the contradictions in human behavior.
