Israel Splitting in Two

Erosion of democracy. Liberalism is sort of falling apart everywhere. In generational theory one sees a historical cycle after crises of conservative harmony as under Eisenhower, replaced by a more liberal, freewheeling immigration era, then followed by a generation who takes over power with no respect for the old conservative mindset. This then causes decay in the body public and general chaos. Antidemocratic systems arise. Remember how FDR ruled. Once a new balance at a different level is achieved then liberalism can reappear, i.e. people agree on a set of common rules and can speak to each other politely again understanding what the bottom line is that leads to bloodshed and respecting that tacitly. Due to the massive general societal and technological changes since the last great crisis of 80 years ago the old order of NATO, the financial system of Bretton Woods are all outdated. US involvement in the Middle East upset the relationships there. Israel is an immigrant country. Poor middle eastern Jews are like their Arab cousins more conservative and less liberally democratic. Maybe they have lots of children and are angry at being expelled from their homelands and seek revenge. There is everywhere a strong change dynamic. People holding onto extreme beliefs could get run over, crushed, like Hamas. China and India now help determine economic future in Asia and the world and they are not really historically in the monotheistic western history loop where Jews, Christians and Muslims have battled each other although of course India and China have Muslims. Europe and the Middle East have this unique history vis-a- vis Jewish influence, pogroms. As Europe became the power center and then America, Christianity, a Jewish sect of sorts, became the leading global religion and democracy is a secular form of this faith. Our scientific belief is a secular form of monotheist belief in an absolute truth. So a middle eastern religion from thousands of years ago came to fundamentally determine the dominating worldview. These people, unlike the societies of old, greco- Romans, celts, still exist non- integrated into larger states. Zoroastrians and other regional religions became Muslims. Zeus and co. are interesting for Hollywood entertainment. How will Judaism adapt? Can Israel exist long term in the form conceived or will it become like Iran under the Mullahs and impoverished with everyone going to Torah school, females all barefoot and pregnant and the whole project relies on sympathetic billionaires from silicon valley who turn a blind eye to it all. I see opinions as to why Egypt has a big wall against Gaza and it is about the same. Extremists could endanger stability. If Israel wins this war(Gaza already over?) and there comes a brittle peace then we can imagine a period like after the US revolution till the Civil War based on a fragile balance of power which then breaks. In 80 years then maybe Israel could have civil war or some other dire situation could occur. One can only wildly speculate about the general global situation as climate change scenarios, massive population decline in Europe and East Asia or oil and gas depletion that could make any linear scenario of life as normal, utterly obsolete.
