Why Aren't Men Approaching Women in Person Anymore

First few minutes discussion they say approaching a total stranger in a bar, on the street was a very short term historical anomaly and marriages were semi-arranged by family, friends with someone well known. Lives were very static and men and women were not best friends at all, even in marriage but hung out nearly exclusively with their own sex. Marriage was a financial, reproductive arrangement. 

So love marriages are very problematic and approaching a girl is like being a telephone or door to door salesman, taking an extremely extroverted manipulator.
