Before FDR there was no retirement. This was a historical aberration. Old people were cared for by kids and grandkids. Houses were for multigenerational households like in Italy still. Single family one generation home is a waste of resources leading to speculative buying, suburbs, sprawl, lack of community. Why do such videos see only what they want to see without historical context?
