Healthcare is a loss leader like hotels overnighting. Real estate value is all that matters. They say that communism is stupid because only self interest can motivate the individual. However in certain areas like healthcare the Hippocratic oath is sacred, do no harm. This is like being a preist and preying in your flock for money, sex, power. Can medicine be dumbed down where it is not evil? Cigarettes were claimed at one point to be healthy. Now much food is processed and people live in front of screens, on the road, always sitting. Nothing is healthy. Lobbyists buy the govt, write own laws. Conspiracy theories aside, what is good here at all? I understand that in the 19th century America before unions, hospitals, people belonged to social clubs like the Oddfellows who for a monthly fee paid unemployment to members and had a doctor who treated members. Before that communities were small farming communities. Women knew all about herbal remedies. The saying was " let your food be your medicine". If you trust the system of work and food you must expect a high level of physical and mental illness as a result and then you will be extorted there too just like in the workplace, buying and eating junk food, getting overpriced useless education, being indoctrinated by media, press, political parties.
