It was 1980 and I was 15, having gone to Guanajuato Mexico, a small college, tourist town in the mountains where I was learning Spanish for 6 weeks with a lot of other American high school students and they treated us to a performance of the above, live in the concert hall. During the summer there was a fireworks display as well. I went to Austin Texas to meet the group taking the bus all the way from Fairbanks, Alaska by bus alone. It took a week nonstop sleeping in the bus. I returned the same way. It was cheaper than a flight. I had the time and had traveled like this before, first when I was 8 with my father and brother seeing the whole USA coast to coast and when I was 13 to visit Montreal for the large wedding of my female cousin, whom my uncle made into a big to do. The following year I traveled Europe with my mother by train and after some years of trying and failing at college and having seen the spectacular occurences on TV throughout the fall of 1989 I went back to England with my mother, who was staying there, wrapping up her inheritance from my grandmother who had died, 89 years old, the previous year. About a year later having gotten an Irish passport I moved on to Germany after having spent the first half of the year at my mother's in Oxford and the remainder in London, taking a course to extend my permission to stay while getting all the papers together for my passport(no easy feat). How the years go by. Don't Go Jumping Waterfalls was also from 1980. Now it is 2020. That year and the song had the aura of change accompanying the saturn/Jupiter conjunction just as 2000 and this year have that aura. Those born in those years are likely particularly affected by this conjunction and learn to 'jump waterfalls' . I left America for good in 1989 as Saturn passed through my first house in Capricorn. Now it is past that again some 30 years later. Saturn passing through the first house signals a new start in life and takes a couple of years. The second house, aquarius for me, is all about money, so back then I got into Germany, learned a trade and eventually married had kids as saturn moved along ( 4th house home building, fifth house (pro) creativity). So everything belongs to these cycles which we cannot prevent by not wanting to jump waterfalls. Risk is part of the game. What 2020 will bring nobody knows. The last 2 decades were a mess politically, economically although technology really gave us some new toys. I got into spirituality big time and that has propelled me into constantly new territory. Kundalini has a mind of its own, it seems. Our fate is not really in our hands, as we have clearly seen in the last few months. Play it by ear, day to day but don't fear new starts.
