summary
Laksmi and Visnu (as śiva's aspects) are the presiding deities (spiritual powers) governing the manipura chakra. It is shaped like the crescent moon on Śiva's head; it has ten petals and it's bija-mantra is ma.
Then one should meditate on anahata cakra which is shaped as hexagon; it has twelve petals and the vibrating letter ci is its bija-mantra. Its presiding deities are Rudr(that is Parvati) and Rudra. One should meditate on these homes of Śiva! that is manipura and anahata cakras.
commentary
The moon on Śiva's head is crescent shaped; to indicate the shape of manipura this example has been used. The bija mantras of the two cakras are ma and ci which form part of the mantra na-ma-ci-vi-ya. Since ci also stands for Śiva , anahata is called Śiva's home.
The powers in the manipura develop the natural immunity of the body, the attainment of long life and the release of certain uncommon powers. The powers in the anahata develop inner beauty and make the body highly attractive. There is also the acquisition of uncommon sensory powers.

I find it interesting how I subconsciously foresee what I will read. Yesterday I posted mentioning crescent moon, talked much of beauty and inner side of that and on the phone I mentioned manipura and anahata ( belly and heart chakras) to my brother. So to me this is a sign I am on the right track spiritually thougn my posts were risqué, controversial.
