Gen Z and Finding Faith

Things have changed some. Apparently since 2000 in the USA church has dropped from 70% to about 48%. I don' t see much use in institutional attendance myself but am a real loner. Others would perhaps feel differently if they believed. Possibly the rise of internet and smartphones has given people another way to socialize and find groups they belong to that are nonlocal, dispersed physically but on a forum or app. So a building like a church is standing empty just like a newspaper goes unsold in favor of a blog. Amazon is a big hit and barnes and Nobles bookstore chain has problems. Virtual communities are y big trend. Belief systems and group connection, like anything else has become much more fluid but people are better informed in these areas like cheapest rental or vacation stay or airplane ticket. Maybe an online church or synagogue would be an alternative to reach young people. Online gurus are mostly independent of mainline religion and therefore suspect like anything new and unproven. Technological change is altering most things in our lives like now work at home, online shopping, dating and now even religion.
