Goal setting is a hamster wheel - learn to set systems instead


Yoga, meditation, tai chi, nutrition, energy work are all good. Nobody knows where you will end up but this sets a basis like all good habits. Not like competitive sports. Improve performance perhaps in all areas which work together in an interlocking manner. Meditation, yoga and tai chi develops body and energy flow, mind and concentration in different ways. No one way is the best. Physical work and socializing develop other aspects. One uncovers recesses of childhood neurosis to heal perhaps and then your movements in sport, work become more fluid, less hesitant and your relationships become more natural and flowing. The deeper the energy flows into mind, body and organs the better the general results in body, relationships, mind activity and then there is a postive spiral as the improved organism learns to more easily meditate, dance tai chi or flow in yoga or friendships. Feelings are interesting. What is anger, love, hatred, greed, lust? Measure it, where it occurs in the body, where it flows from and to, its duration. Observe it, how it originates, how intense it becomes and why it originates. We can see that triggers, originating perhaps in childhood episodes which are repeated by similar occasions as adults can be recognized and the whole occasion of trauma can be reduced to a ripple of sorts with little negative impact, releasing tension.
