Downsizing in Old Age

we have the same problem. Kids in college.Ten years to retirement. What will life bring? Housing prices climb. Maybe downsize, buy a cheap place and use the spare cash to increase pension or if houses cost too much let son move in if he gets married by then. Y 2030 probably have a bust or a war, hyperinflation or all that making pensions worthless, jobs unavailable or mad max all round. Long term planning hard in ' interesting times'.
