A thought here: Equity in what? Everyone has a different talent. Society measures success in a certain way like money for certain jobs. Certain groups excel in those areas. Others are better elsewhere. Long term over generations civilzations based on consumption, money, academics, tend to collapse and broad skill bases are needed and will be rewarded by nature.
