Now the Lebanese girl is probably left in a very feminine role like Marilyn Monroe from the 50s. Hannah Barron is benefitting from decades of women's rights to develop skills in all sorts of directions. One sees why women wanted to break out of such narrow, stifling existence. Maybe in some more conservative cultures they are forced into narrowly defined roles. Meanwhile our society is in an uproar as sexual roles get very confused. Some girls as tomboys turn out as lesbians. I guess we westerners are just used to taking huge cultural risks just to try out something new and get results individually and societally. If my wife or girlfriend is a better " handyman" around the house, then ok. I just hope this does not mean she will run off with another woman! I hope this is taken as humorous and is not offensive in tone. My wife really is like that and if raised in America nowadays, not her Russia of the 60s and 70s, might well have become gay.
