I didn't listen to radio or pop habitually for ten to twenty years so just a bit of 90s - 2010s got through to me so I missed this story.

Erosion of democracy. Liberalism is sort of falling apart everywhere. In generational theory one sees a historical cycle after crises of conservative harmony as under Eisenhower, replaced by a more liberal, freewheeling immigration era, then followed by a generation who takes over power with no respect for the old conservative mindset. This then causes decay in the body public and general chaos. Antidemocratic systems arise. Remember how FDR ruled. Once a new balance at a different level is achieved then liberalism can reappear, i.e. people agree on a set of common rules and can speak to each other politely again understanding what the bottom line is that leads to bloodshed and respecting that tacitly. Due to the massive general societal and technological changes since the last great crisis of 80 years ago the old order of NATO, the financial system of Bretton Woods are all outdated. US involvement in the Middle East upset the relationships there. Israel is an immigrant country. Poor middle eastern Jews are like their Arab cousins more conservative and less liberally democratic. Maybe they have lots of children and are angry at being expelled from their homelands and seek revenge. There is everywhere a strong change dynamic. People holding onto extreme beliefs could get run over, crushed, like Hamas. China and India now help determine economic future in Asia and the world and they are not really historically in the monotheistic western history loop where Jews, Christians and Muslims have battled each other although of course India and China have Muslims. Europe and the Middle East have this unique history vis-a- vis Jewish influence, pogroms. As Europe became the power center and then America, Christianity, a Jewish sect of sorts, became the leading global religion and democracy is a secular form of this faith. Our scientific belief is a secular form of monotheist belief in an absolute truth. So a middle eastern religion from thousands of years ago came to fundamentally determine the dominating worldview. These people, unlike the societies of old, greco- Romans, celts, still exist non- integrated into larger states. Zoroastrians and other regional religions became Muslims. Zeus and co. are interesting for Hollywood entertainment. How will Judaism adapt? Can Israel exist long term in the form conceived or will it become like Iran under the Mullahs and impoverished with everyone going to Torah school, females all barefoot and pregnant and the whole project relies on sympathetic billionaires from silicon valley who turn a blind eye to it all. I see opinions as to why Egypt has a big wall against Gaza and it is about the same. Extremists could endanger stability. If Israel wins this war(Gaza already over?) and there comes a brittle peace then we can imagine a period like after the US revolution till the Civil War based on a fragile balance of power which then breaks. In 80 years then maybe Israel could have civil war or some other dire situation could occur. One can only wildly speculate about the general global situation as climate change scenarios, massive population decline in Europe and East Asia or oil and gas depletion that could make any linear scenario of life as normal, utterly obsolete.

I was thinking if we can use AI to talk to dolphins, elephants, etc we could determine just how smart and what kind of intelligence they have and team up with them for environmental control.

Ziontology
I was thinking that scientology copied their concept there. A small selective sect that buys influence. Nationalism, genetics, culture, religion are all angles to look at it from. All of these ideas were developed over time to unite people's in a geographic area or in total. Just because the geographic nation state with ethnicity and language was not the synagogue diaspora identity concept does not make it evolutionarily illegitimate. Perhaps everyone could use this idea like through internet you find your clan and live in that global echo chamber or in India you marry and associate in caste and not just geographically.

I have been learning the characters or hanzi and notice that I look at things differently due to staring at these old and many varied forms. There are so many and quite creative. I then go to work and start looking at people and see their faces and bodies more like caricaturist. I recall reading about a man who had a stroke. He could speak Chinese iirc as it was stored elsewhere than an alphabetic language.

What in the 60s was daring became conservative decades later. The views of society constantly change. In 50 years someone who is on the right side of history will be called bad names by the new wave of reality that has rolled in. If Marilyn Monroe had survived she might have had similar views. Instead we just remembered her film roles. Maybe implanting a chip in your brain, becoming a cyborg by implanting levitating shoes onto your feet and brain enhancement will become standard. I could become black or Chinese by brain alteration or cosmetic surgery. Koreans do so much surgery to appear Caucasian. Is this controversial? Maybe backlash in the form of Asianism will come as the West declines and we will do surgery to be like them. Everyone could convert to Islam and do yoga, practice witchcraft and be vegetarian. The future could become stranger than anyone could imagine.

Chronic Pain, Anxiety, the Neuroscience of Your inner Child
Is Freud to blame for this concept? Does "the body keep the score?" I keep going through deeper emotional cycles that I presume take me backwards, maybe to previous lives not just childhood or perhaps it unwinds ancestral pain. Like your ancestral lineage were all perfectionists or alcoholics or something. How do you break that chain? What is normal or free choice and is enlightenment even possible if you have neuroses based on trauma?

As a nominal Catholic/practicing yoga Hindu I can testify to the same dissatisfaction with western religion. The focus on church service, prayer, etc and not individual development is the problem.

I have been working on Chinese pictographs or hanzi this week and have fallen back on creative association. There are so many that blind memorizing is useless. One has to take meaning, sound, picture and make a movie or concept. 1000 of those and you have 90%.

Why India's Religion is Failing India
I recall Jesus discussion of hypocrite's attitudes and even David as a soldier fed his comrades the holy bread on the sabbath. Ritual is not above reality or perhaps God himself. Religion means ritual but it is meant as devotion to God and when it ignores God. The Ganga is kept filthy although it is sacred. What is going on there?

Whistling Past the Graveyard
Perhaps a few hunter gatherers will survive in central Africa into the next century. Why worry? Obviously this is like the prodigal son parable only with fossil fuels instead of inheritance. The partying comes from saved up Earth's inheritance from hundreds of millions of years ago. If we don't go extinct and fossil fuels are all gone then the earth should recover and wildlife will dominate again after human overshoot. When did the last time a species use up so much of the biosphere, never. This is really a Noah situation. I mean everyone ignores this and the life raft built is a billionaire's bunker. UK is really problematic like Holland or Denmark. A big storm away from sinking perhaps. Banning farting cows while cars, industry, plastics, server farms for AI continue to grow is weird. Obviously nothing will get done. Best to take the advice on the crashing airplane ' stick your head between your legs and kiss your ass goodbye'

You Don't Hate the American Healthcare System Enough
Healthcare is a loss leader like hotels overnighting. Real estate value is all that matters. They say that communism is stupid because only self interest can motivate the individual. However in certain areas like healthcare the Hippocratic oath is sacred, do no harm. This is like being a preist and preying in your flock for money, sex, power. Can medicine be dumbed down where it is not evil? Cigarettes were claimed at one point to be healthy. Now much food is processed and people live in front of screens, on the road, always sitting. Nothing is healthy. Lobbyists buy the govt, write own laws. Conspiracy theories aside, what is good here at all? I understand that in the 19th century America before unions, hospitals, people belonged to social clubs like the Oddfellows who for a monthly fee paid unemployment to members and had a doctor who treated members. Before that communities were small farming communities. Women knew all about herbal remedies. The saying was " let your food be your medicine". If you trust the system of work and food you must expect a high level of physical and mental illness as a result and then you will be extorted there too just like in the workplace, buying and eating junk food, getting overpriced useless education, being indoctrinated by media, press, political parties.
The Biology of Universal Oneness
I thought of this analogy between human cells to one person is like individuals to God or universe. Trillions of our cells go about their business unaware of each other but there is a much higher consciousness they contribute to. Similarly we just cannot see the big picture of the sleeping Vishnu, if I recall the Hindu portrayal of the matter correctly.
And yes the first commenter in YouTube is right, pretty girl all made up. This does not take away from the intelligence of the discussion because she is not a bookworm of the sort one expects in intellectual discussions or that we should expect to see her doing more superficial clothing videos or modeling. She is apparently French and well, that is culture to just look good and be a bit sensual as a matter of existence regardless. Vive la difference.
I Can't Stand Work and This is Why
Old as being thrown out of Garden of Eden. Who doesn't hate the toil? But without reaching goals, being tired, sleeping well, meeting people what good is the dream of retirement or the easy life of the rich?
Dynamic Standing (Qigong) and the Spiraling Energy Body
Spiraling Energy Body is something I know but have never heard speak of so this is interesting to me. When one gets started with qi or prana work in yoga or tai chi there is a bit of tingling here and there which with work can grow to feel the chakras. Once you can feel all chakras and the space between at once then they connect in a way that the whole starts turning around like a big spiral. Over time the feeling in the chakras gets deeper and each time there comes a time when it starts spiraling again but at that deeper tissue level. I don't know if this ever stops or has a goal. I notice my belly had lots of resistance and my throat and neck as well as hips and lower back. For example you feel a chakra exploding with energy, then after a while that leaks down, say from forehead down the nose bridge and lips to the throat or from heart to the belly or from throat it bleeds over your shoulders and down your arms or from belly over the hips and down to your toes. I do nauli kriya and pumping in and out of my belly and it seems this increased energy through the belly area has increased the numbers of repetitions I can do from 20 to now 60 on one breath. Spiraling is a very comprehensive sensation taking in the whole energy body. It is very pleasant and can deepen the whole energy experience by putting increasing pressure on the tissue. It is like turning a screw ever more tightly.

What is Working Class?
I always presumed that culture and activity overlapped a lot. My dad was a labourer from a poor Irish Catholic large family who grew up in a poor inner city. Beyond 16 no education. My mom came from Oxford, was well educated, taught languages, grew up with a middle class journalist father. The Monty python sketch "every sperm is sacred" juxtaposes these stereotype cultures of poor Irish with lots of kids and small British family that is educated. American leftwing ethnic class divides carries over very well here into the UK. In America where I grew up my parents did not talk politics or religion. I assume he voted Dem and she voted republican. My education is higher but practice is now working class. My ideology is fluid depending on the issues. If the left only care about gender rights and minority quotas then obviously this does not have anything to do with unions, helping the poor. It should be color blind. Poor workers are in rural and urban areas. Trump and European neo conservative parties are using the left's progressive message which targets privileging identity over income as a no go. If people are jailed for critic of this then obviously we have a democratic deficit. Excessive nativism was repeatedly a historical problem in America after large waves of immigration, resulting in a crackdown on this. This has been now repeated and Europeans should see this as normal. If Europe is an immigration center then it has to be managed sensibly. If the working poor natives feel disadvantaged by the left then they will vote right, even if those parties are against their pocketbook. The left was traditionally for the poor. When you introduce the foreign or racial element, as in America with quotas or special advantages for blacks in public job applications or universities then it is clear that a conflict will emerge. Eventually leftwing parties simply could become a racial party. This would be like somewhere in Africa or Indian politics where ethnic representation to get govt jobs and funding is all important and the class concept disappears entirely.

I notice occasional articles in my feed on life lengthening tactics are always demanding payment. This con never dies but most are couch potatoes eating processed foods. I was curious earlier about this guy but got bored when he only mentioned a pill which people said your body produces itself from exercise( metformin?). No talk of nutrition, sports, nothing.

Publishing this is good just like any experience spiritual or otherwise, inspiring and so on. However we need to work on ourselves to understand this side of ourselves. Recently I have had more experiences that deepened my sense of spirituality in this way, although, or perhaps because I am such a hardened skeptic. It is like the born rebel. God says " here I am, see" and I am forced to admit a further aspect. Only as much as can be managed is shown at a time. I guess I take things too seriously so it is only shown when necessary. Like I felt something which seemed like that enlightenment experience while meditating and usually I am unfocused, distracted. After looking at an old book on out of body experiences another time and thinking how I had attempted that using online group suggestions decades before and books, then it just happened that , perhaps in a dream, I forget, that I felt ripped at speed from my body and brought somewhere shortly. I assumed these short experiences were just to show my skeptical self that such "cool" experiences are there, true, but not my path and I should not get too uptight about the hullabaloo people make about this. I felt another experience recently where someone in my vicinity passed and I felt connected to them, like they had latched onto me for hours. Afterwards it took a week or two to overcome my deep mood, like as if a close family member died. This was sort of like this girl's NDE or the basic effect it had on her, perceiving as I did in the feeling of the soul's death and sadness, confusion after leaving. Obviously God teaches us lessons when we need them. I am not into lights and whistles. I read Kundalini awakening books where people see and hear visions and stuff but never had that. I feel bodily changes, burning, that increases, opening chakras. This seems basic to me. I think everyone has a particular type of experience so that saying "this is what to expect, enlightenment" is not really useful. That is a problem and a positive side of life. A monoculture is boring and dangerous. I joke about levitation for example but maybe such things really have happened. Perhaps Jesus and others did heal, walk on water, etc. For most of us we would just be happy to have a second of perception that gets us beyond this obvious drudge of life, work, stress, monotony, followed by the grave. If one could just know that God is real, we are all one, our bodies are not our limit. But everyone has to work like crazy and I literally hope God's grace reveals small glimpses of something greater. There are so many aspects of reality. Like insects or dogs have greater ranges of perceptions than we do. Through working on ourselves, refining our bodies through lots of spiritual practice perhaps we open certain pathways that, not just for show but to increase ur faith, God can show us things we thought impossible before. It is like with sport. After years of hard work suddenly I can stretch further than heretofore possible or perform some other feat. Cool! Evolution is supposed to be like that, purposeful, not random. Maybe there are stages of physical, spiritual development, even evolution that are planned before birth for each of us. I notice there comes full moon, eclipse or another astrological alignment and boom a surge of energy, great experience. Not bad. All those alignments are just waiting till the day we die. We just have to optimize our bodies, souls to catch the wave, surf higher.
Language is a Virus
So animals communicate too. Dolphins, birds. Brains make abstract observations and generalizations. The way this happens depends on where we live. If no life existed on some island and was imported or evolved from one celled organisms consciousness would force language on it. This is communication between environment and observer. Otherwise it would be pure perception of some sci-fi flick where an x- man would grok his environment intuitively absorbing it's reality to feel it's atomic structure at every depth. This requires too much effort. Depending on the being's s physiology perception and communication structure( voice box, brain size) and social environment an output to describe the perceptions will be made to itself and passed on. I speculate that certain areas of earth exert magnetic influence on creatures to communicate in certain ways, somehow explaining how languages are randomly different.

Viking Strength and Health Didn't Come From Targeted Gym Workouts
I noticed this myself. Yoga was nice but did not develop the body completely until I worked a full time physical job. I have endurance, squat a lot, run around. A desk job is what modern yogis have as it is an upper middle class, usually female, hobby. However flexibility, lung and heart capacity increase. Working and yoga make a feedback mechanism. My colleagues are no yogis, some do running, weights and these remain fit. Otherwise repetitive work wears you down just like sitting at a desk. There is no magic solution. I keep improving with age.
Reverse Neglect to Stay Fit All Your Life
I started yoga with 30 and Tai chi with 37 and with 45 upon losing my desk job could switch to a cleaning job which is physically demanding due to riding bike, healthy diet as well. Others who lost positions in middle age during the 2008 crisis and afterwards were sidelined forever. People in general neglect their bodies as it is socially acceptable to drive, live an easy life just like nobility in the past. Servants were there to feed and clothes then. Their teeth rotted from imported sugar while the peasants in the fields were fine.

This is like the reverse of the propaganda of the protocols of the elders of Zion was for 19th century Europeans. US rural Americans needed to be indoctrinated. I went to a pentecostal church for several years as a kid and learned their hymns and read the king James version but ideas of rapture, speaking in tongues were common and Jesus' second coming. As a young bored catholic it was interesting for a while as I learned to sing in tube, read a significant book the bible which helped when I read Shakespeare in high school lit class and the whole experience gave me an ironclad defense against religious con artists. There were rapture series of books like sci Fi I later read. All of this is a subculture. It's connection and that of televangelists to Israel was not on my radar back then. The idea that the 2nd coming of Christ and Armageddon is triggered by the rebuilding of the temple and that therefore every god fearing Christian must support Israel above everything is obviously an extreme sect belief like this people who go up a hill on a certain day expecting aliens then commit mass suicide. My previous catholic upbringing and humanist education afterwards let me see this in perspective. I however know that most people in these churches are just normal and as my parents were from different denominations I don't condemn one side as papists or the other as Jesus freaks and moreover I have worked with Muslims from everywhere and see no particular differences than with anyone else and I knew Jehovah witness kid in school. People just live their lives like my wife grew up under communism. Then it went away. It seems Jewish people have similar movements like Christians, i.e Fundus, moderates, traditionalists. Still, as a kid or part of whatever culture you are not caring much. Converts are more radical in general and I personally have a thick-skinned cynicism even as a yogi to any gurus. If it works then it convinces me(successful levitation anyone?).

Why So Many Languages in Europe
I heard it was same in China but written was same so no problem. India also has a lot. In India and Africa English and other colonial languages bridge a gap between many local dialects in large countries acting as a lingua franca.

I have been doing yoga for 30 years and what she mentions for weightlifters doesn't fit me. Whose opinion in the gym or doctor's talk. I could care less as it is all alone doing yoga, Tai chi, nutrition.

How My Life Improved as an Atheist(ex evangelical)
As an adult distancing ourselves from the culture of our parents and the surrounding culture can liberate us and give perspective on our basic needs. Going from Buddhist to Islam or zen to Catholic, etc. Even people who emigrate at a certain age, learn a new culture and language. This redefinition of self can be useful. I am sure this woman will still embrace core religious or ethical values. The ten commandments and love your neighbour are cultural norms. Otherwise you are a sociopath, criminal, outcast. The language of religion is stripped away but the results are the same. Life is just removed from the narrow cultural box of childhood, habits of types of prayers, food.

So in 50 years Israel looks like a Hamas run state with similar primitive ideologized population. They are slowly fitting into the region they arrived to as sophisticated immigrants. We could all use some of those secular Hi-Tech Omi immigrants in the West.
