Leaning out my window mornings in he springtime is interesting. I know very little on this subject. Where I live is basically urban but very wooded so they have an environment along with squirrels. The latter are a fun lot to observe. Sometimes they chase one another around a large tree just across from us with the lower branches lopped off. The crows and squirrels seem sworn enemies. When the squirrels climb up near the crows nest where I obserbved them feeding their chick last year, the crows scare them off. The squirrels have to be careful in their run, jump across the trees, lawns, bushes, sheds, rooftops as the crows look for an easy prey. I have seen close calls for the squirrels but nothing worse.
