Capricorn Transits of Major outer Planets -Saturn, Pluto Jupiter-the human crisis

I saw something about Pluto a couple of hours ago and as it is weekend and I have off (essential worker- boo hoo) I thought I would expand on this. I posted my horoscope somewhere below. All these transits work in end effect positively on me because my planets are in pisces and scorpio, giving a sextile or in virgo and taurus, resulting in a trine. So Pluto has a transit of Capricorn between 2008 to 2024. In a general sense then capricorn is about stability, institutions. Pluto is about transformation. Obviously since 2008 the economic system has been living in a crisis mode on zero interest rates. This has gotten just renewed as Jupiter conjuncted Pluto. Personally this accelerated my transition from desk jockey and apartment dweller to labourer and house owner, both positive in terms of financial, physical and emotional resilience. Job loss and anxieties led to investment in a house and a step down the income ladder but to better social, emotional, physical health. Saturn has been transiting Capricorn, its own sign since end 2017 till end of third year with a stay in aquarius. It is easy to see how the economic global situation was slowly deteriorating and imploded just recently, near the last part of this period. Personally each crisis has strengthened me. I have been undergoing an awakening process, which is painful, challenging but along which, at certain points, one must take more responsibility for oneself. I managed to feel less dependent on others, find new emotional outlets, stabilize myself when people left and I felt abandoned and grow way beyond that.

The flipside of a strong awakening of the heart, bhakti, is a lack of independence. Of course being alone is also a weakness, although at the time we might not see it as such. So awakening might force the issue and we dive into the deep end of the pool, trusting that somehow it will all turn out right. Developing ever stronger muscles(chakras) we learn to swim the ocean currents or wild rivers, not just tame ponds. Independence was just fear of the unknown. Each new challenge, deeper relationship, transforms us into a stronger state. Pluto is about transformation. Saturn concretizes this in daily life circumstances, body and mind reactions, resilience. Jupiter is transiting Capricorn this year. After all this brutal time financially, physically, emotionally Jupiter is the icing on the cake, giving that extra push, like that last rocket booster to push us out into orbit. Obviously its contact with pluto gave us corona pandemic(poison in extremis). We see that planets are symbols. If you have planted a field well, rain brings a rich harvest. If you prepare a catastrophe(our economy, bioweapons labs in a urban environment) then you will likely get one. So my situation was ripe for positive spiritual harvest, despite the crisis, even benefittig from harder work conditions on my own, leading to better concentration and whereas earlier I would post my thoughts elsewhere, dependent on just being responsive, now in a blog I can express myself more freely. This allows me to develop creativity. Speaking of which, my first house starts at beginning of capricorn. So these transits are a new start for me. However my fifth house stands for my creativity. This is in Taurus which has been recently experiencing a Uranus transit for one year, which will continue another six years(yes taurus stands for finance and Uranus is disruptive, so global economy,  badly prepared, is getting hit hard) Apparently my creativity is being expanded upon. Meanwhile Neptune is conjunct my sun in pisces, making my sense of self melt down, barriers collapse. Under other circumstances than long hard spiritual preparatory work, say a hard driving career orientation, such  conjunction would not lead to positive spiritual insight but rather to insanity, mental breakdown, confusion, drug or alcohol abuse. There are many pisces out there experiencing this transit. Depending on their preparation I wonder if they flounder, stumble around or grow from this occasion.

Also Neptune in pisces causes general confusion on earth. Neptune dissolves identity or make people confused, irrational or extreme in the area it transits. The initial tech, internet boom and bubble took place with neptune in aquarius, responsible for communications. Perhaps in aries after 2026, we will have a confused and messy war. The US civil war had this aspect. In WWII Neptune was in Virgo. Germany and Japan were the chief culprits in this conflict. Their virgo like tendencies(best cars, electronics, hard work ethic, exactness) were taken to mad excess in this era. The opposite of virgo is pisces of course. Idealistic, open, loving, spiritual. So instead of extreme nationalism as in the WWII era we have the ideal of the global village, open borders, multiculturalism. So America has been the chief proponent of democracy(since the revolution) and globalism(since WWII) and against racism(civil war).USA plays the central role in the current global crisis. I did not intend to write on this but as America represents such Neptunian ideals and has brought about a change in the world in this sense, since 1776, it seems that when Neptune reaches its own sign, as with the Japanese and German reaction when Neptune was in Virgo, excesses in the global system, now based on the American Neptunian global openness, border and identity dissolution, would take place.

The dark side of this open globalism is coporate control, wage leveraging to impoverish each country in turn, wars for profit with the excuse of fighting for 'human rights', open immigration to obtain cheap labor but ostentatively to help the poor(created by our cheap good exports, cheap weapons and deliberate destabilizing humanitarian wars of aggression). Also interestingly Pluto is returning to where it was in capricorn when the USA was founded and in this year the 20 year regular conjunction of Saturn/Jupiter will take place. Every 4th time, in 80 year cycles, we get a national crisis aka a '4th Turning'. So with Pluto return, Neptune in America's home spot and a 4th Turning scheduled for the early 2020s, if not already obviously underway, it would seem that America's role as physical enforcer, expander of everything started in the late 18th century, i.e. enlightenment ideals, humanism but also industrialism(steam engine), economic rationalism(Adam Smith's 'Wealth of Nations' first economics text) could all come to a crossroads. We see clearly that, Earth Day just this week, human ingenuity and expansiveness is endangering the ecosystems on which we depend for our survival and causing a rapid mass extinction as when the dinosaurs died out.

The American ideal has been always to expand, use more, give more freedom, wealth, technology to all and to impose this ideal of constant upward growth, freedom on a larger concentric influence circle around itself with each generation or crisis war, every 4th Turning. It is apparent that this approach has reached upper limits. Global populations are maxing out and ageing rapidly. Technology has reached limits- computer speeds(Moore's law is dead) transport speeds(airplanes, crowded highways). We are using up oil, coal and natural gas rapidly and solar and wind are not capable of replacing them. It is alo clear that, as with Rome, America will not rule the globe. China, Russia, an unruly Middle East are too much to tackle for an overindebted and divided America, whose economy and population, once 50% of global wealth in 1945, can not continue expecting to call the shots in global affairs. So the crisis of the last war was one of declining European imperialism, forced to its end by the new powers of Germany/Japan and inherited by the bipolar world order. This crisis appears a crisis of the Western Modernism, which grew out of the renaissance and Enlightenment in Europe, namely that rationalism could replace superstition and religion and make man controller over nature. As we see if one does not learn to control one's desires, practice self observance, i.e. the original religious precepts, then, as in 1001 Nights when one is granted a genie, magic powers, it can do you more harm than good. So perhaps we come full circle. A plague broke the ideals of the Christian church, albeit slowly, to control the population's habits of thought, and therefore their development and now a new plague could force people to see that our supposed rationalism, dependent on our brains for progress, denying both religious thought and recognition of nature as a power in and of itself, something even usurped by man in the book of Genesis, apparently granted as God's caretaker. Putting the fox in charge of the chicken coop would be the bettter metaphor. If we see ourselves as part of and dependent on natural systems we might have a chance but we are a long way from realizing we are a passing phenomenon like all species, but intent to 'eat, drink and be merry', live it up while the living is good. As an individual spiritual growth can be practically limitless. Any other type of human endeavour without limits poses a threat to survival.
